MOKE 2XS Electrics
Many an interesting hour...
A separate ground strap was run
directly from the battery so grounding does
not rely solely upon conduction through the car body.
For good supply of juice, the 35 amp alternator was replaced with a 75 amp one.
It may look complex, but don't worry, it is very reliable.
And it is all diagrammed in my documentation.
Fashioning the extra fuses and relays for the fuel injection
In place. I blackened the plastic after this and it looked a lot neater.
Starting on the dashpod (from Hyundai Scoupe) Electric Tach,
Mechanical speedo (I made adaptor).
The dashpod is from a Hyundai. Quite something to get it all working.
But all the warning lights etc. are operational - even low fuel light.
New dash taking shape. An electric demister was later fitted for the driver.
And finished. I am happy with that. Note GPS and laptop socket to the
right.
Digital Gauges are for Oil pressure,
Oil temperature, Voltage, Air/Fuel ratio. Switches were labelled after
this photo was taken.
This is the lock for the glove compartment. Also an automatic light for it.
Rear lights matching the front ones
Not many Mokes have these rear side/stop/indicator lights.
The rear speaker console
Fits in with the roll bar pretty good!
And for the ultimate in quiet Moke driving: Sound proof headphones that plug into the overhead console.
